1. What is a Brigade?
A Brigade is a group you can lead or join. You can belong to one Brigade at a time.
A Brigade’s portfolio score is calculated from the stocks and options held by each member, using the Brigade Leader’s scoring rubric.
2. What does a Brigade Leader do?
A Brigade Leader:
• Approves who can join
• Sets the Brigade’s scoring rubric
Every member’s portfolio is scored using the Leader’s rubric, which determines the Brigade’s overall score.
3. Can I follow other Brigades?
Yes. You can follow unlimited Brigades.
When you follow a Brigade, you can see how your portfolio would score under that Leader’s rubric.
4. Can I change my scoring rubric?
Yes. Your scoring rubric can be updated any time.
When you change your rubric:
• Company scores update across the entire market
• Your portfolio compatibility score updates instantly
• Brigade portfolio scores using your rubric update in real time
This lets you immediately see how your preferences affect rankings and portfolio compatibility.
5. How do I change my scoring preferences?
1.Go to My Score on the bottom ribbon.
2.Adjust the following settings:
Market Capitalization
Choose the company size you want to see.
Compatibility Score Range
Filter companies based on their compatibility score.
Velocity
Set the level of revenue and profit growth you want to see.
Liquidity
Set how strong a company’s short-term financial position should be.
6. What happens when I link my brokerage account?
Linking your brokerage lets Brigades score your real portfolio.
Your portfolio receives a weighted average Compatibility Score based on the stocks and options you hold.
This helps you evaluate your portfolio using your own financial criteria.
7. Why can’t I connect my Fidelity account?
Fidelity connections sometimes require multiple attempts.
If the first connection fails, try two or three times. The connection typically completes after a few attempts.
8. Do I need a subscription to join or lead a Brigade?
Yes. Premium is required to join or lead a Brigade.
Once subscribed:
• Open Brigades on the bottom ribbon
• Select Activate My Brigade to lead
• Select Join a Brigade to request membership
9. How do I follow a Brigade?
1.Go to Brigades
2.Select Following at the top
3.Search by username or name
10. What can followers see?
Followers only see your Brigade Summary, including:
• 2-year performance (starting from subscription)
• Brigade compatibility score
• Your portfolio score using their rubric
Followers cannot see your holdings or portfolio breakdown.
11. What is Financial Relativity?
Financial Relativity is a 0–100 score showing how a company’s latest financial results compare to the previous five periods.
• 0 = weakest relative performance
• 100 = strongest relative performance
It can be applied to:
• The most recent quarter
• The most recent year
• Consensus estimates
12. What is Financial Velocity?
Financial Velocity is a 0–100 score measuring how quickly a company’s financials are improving or declining, based on your growth preferences.
It compares the most recent period to the previous five periods.
It can be applied to:
• The most recent quarter
• The most recent year
• Consensus estimates
13. What is Financial Liquidity?
Financial Liquidity is a 0–100 score measuring a company’s ability to cover short-term debt with its assets, based on your liquidity preferences.
14. What is a Compatibility Score?
The Compatibility Score measures how well a company matches your investment criteria.
It is calculated using:
• Financial Relativity
• Financial Velocity
• Financial Liquidity
15. What is Price to Par?
Price to Par measures whether a stock’s price movement matches its financial performance.
Score range: 0–100
• 90–100: Price movement is justified by financials
• 70–90: Price movement is within a reasonable range
• Below 70: Price is rising faster than financials justify
16. What are Upper Bound (U-Bound) and Lower Bound (L-Bound)?
These bounds estimate a reasonable price range based on financial growth.
Upper Bound (U-Bound)
The highest price financials could justify.
Lower Bound (L-Bound)
The lowest price financials could justify.
17. What are Consensus Estimates?
Consensus estimates are the average revenue and earnings forecasts from analysts covering a stock.
They are based on financial history, industry conditions, and company outlook.
18. What does “Number of Analysts” mean?
The Number of Analysts shows how many analysts actively publish research on a stock.
19. What is EPS Estimate (Avg.)?
EPS Estimate (Average) is the average projected earnings per share from all analysts covering the company.
20. How does swiping work?
Swipe actions control how companies appear in your feed.
• Swipe Right — Add to your watchlist
• Swipe Left — Skip for now (shown again after new financials)
• Swipe Down — Remove permanently
21. What do I do when my watchlist is full?
A watchlist can hold up to 50 companies.
To add a new company, remove one from your watchlist first.
22. Why can’t I search for a company on my watchlist?
The Watchlist search only looks at companies already on your watchlist.
To search the entire market, use the Discover search bar.
If the company is already saved, you will see “View in Watchlist.”
23. What is Market Capitalization?
Market Capitalization (Market Cap) is the total market value of a company.
It is calculated as:
Shares Outstanding × Share Price
Brigades uses the following classes:
• Class A — > $100B
• Class B — > $75B
• Class C — > $50B
• Class D — > $25B
• Class E — > $1B
• Class F — < $1B
24. How are individual portfolios scored?
Individual portfolios are scored using the weighted average Compatibility Score of all stocks and options held.
25. How is a Brigade portfolio scored?
A Brigade portfolio score is the weighted average Compatibility Score of every position held by all Brigade members, calculated using the Leader’s scoring rubric.
